Be serious, thoughtful, insightful, shoe-horny, impish, erudite, or as silly as you please – we need songs/music that shoulda/coulda been used in this film:

A burglar and his midget sidekick pose as a shopping mall Santa and helper, with the plan to rob the complex after hours on Christmas Eve..

  1. I am going to have to go for New Order and “Thieves Like Us”

Not sure how it fits the brief, but I can see it in a comedy scene where the burglar and sidekick, after hours, run around the mall, playing with stuff and trying on silly outfits.

  2. “Naughty, nice – it really doesn’t matter. Just don’t get attached to what I bring you on Christmas Eve because I’m coming back on Boxing Day and…..”

  3. hi ho hi ho it’s Joe Cocker & his all stars With Help from my Little Friends

after hours skullduggery to the sound of hello darkness my old friend and i like the sound of breaking glass
    After midnight .. fine tune

on fantasia either mushrumps or hippos skip along to either dance of the hours or sugar plum fairy, which I only know as cabury’s fruit & nut – with Frank Muir on fine form – so anytime a midget is tip-toeing and speeding along then tip-toeing again .. that’s the tune

as for stealing christmas .. scumbags .. hope it ends with Gallows Pole

  4. The end of the movie, after pulling off the heist, Santa & his wee pal gaze into each others eyes, and realise that the true glittering prize was falling in love with each other. The Wannadies “Shorty” fades up with the lines below as they fly off into the sunset on their sledge

“It always happens to me, always
they feel attracted to me, shorty
    always, they say

if you go, I go with you
    if you stay, I’ll wait”

  5. I never saw the film and didn’t like the trailer or clips I’ve seen but why let that stop me from contributing? I’m sure this could have been fitted in somewhere.
